More than basketball. A framework for growth.
Deen & Basketball uses the game as a purposeful environment for developing skill, confidence, discipline, character, and identity.
Our athletes are challenged to pursue excellence on the court while remaining grounded in faith, responsibility, and service to others. Every practice is an opportunity to become a better player and a stronger human-being.
To build a generation of young Muslim leaders who embody strength in faith, confidence in identity, and excellence in performance.
Leadership shaped by faith, education, and sport.

A former Division I scholarship athlete at the University of Washington, Amir embraced Islam during his college years. That transformative decision continues to shape his approach to leadership, mentorship, and service.
We pursue excellence on the court and in life, nurturing athletes who demonstrate integrity, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for the game while remaining grounded in their Deen.

The principles behind every practice.
Development is about more than improving basketball skills.
Our coaching approach supports the complete athlete—physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. These commitments shape how we teach, lead, compete, and build community.
We develop competitors by building character first.
Faith & Character
Islamic values are woven into the training environment through integrity, humility, gratitude, sportsmanship, and accountability on and off the court.
Whole-Player Development
Every athlete matters. We develop basketball ability while also supporting confidence, maturity, emotional awareness, discipline, and personal growth.
Community & Teamwork
Athletes learn to communicate, listen, serve, encourage one another, and contribute to a basketball community where every player feels valued.
Discipline & Leadership
Players are taught to work consistently, respond to challenges, honor their responsibilities, pursue excellence, and lead through their actions.
